IPM awarded prestigious five-star rating for the 8th year in a row

Each year, Moneyfacts – the UK’s leading provider of retail financial product data – undertakes a completely impartial assessment of SIPP providers.

For the eighth year in a row, we are delighted to report that we have achieved the prestigious five-star rating from Moneyfacts.

The Moneyfacts Annual SIPP & SSAS Star Ratings showcase the most complete products, highlighting the pensions with excellent features and competitive fees.

The products that Moneyfacts awards a five-star rating offer the most comprehensive range of standout features that set them apart from the rest of the market. Only 23 SIPPs achieved a five-star rating for 2024 – that’s just 2 in 5 of the SIPPs reviewed this year.

This assessment is made following detailed analysis of up to 50 different factors including:

  • Investment options
  • Set-up and admin fees
  • Property purchase fees
  • In specie fees
  • Cash transfer fees
  • UFPLS availability and charges
  • Flexi access charges
  • Transfer out charges
  • Deposit account choice.

In a time of change for the SIPP market, this independent assessment and five-star rating gives further confidence to advisers and clients when selecting us.

As Moneyfacts say, 9 out of 10 people agree that a star rating from an independent and impartial company could influence their decision in considering taking out a financial services product.

Lee Tillcock, managing editor of Investment Life and Pensions Moneyfacts, said: “The growing need for individuals to take more control of their own retirement planning has encouraged a greater demand for self-invested pensions such as SIPPs and SSASs.

“However, there is a diverse range of SIPP and SSAS products that individuals can select from, making comparisons potentially complex. The Moneyfacts Annual SIPP and SSAS Star Ratings highlight the companies that offer the schemes with the most extensive range of features and competitive charges, helping consumers to direct their focus when considering their options.

“The ratings therefore provide consumers with an extra seal of approval, which should give them the added assurance that they have found a high-quality product for their retirement needs.”

Commenting on the rating, David Sutcliffe, managing director of IPM, said: “We’re committed to providing a first-class service to advisers and their clients. So, it’s very gratifying to receive recognition from an impartial third party that our combination of excellent features and expertise is among the best in the market.”
